Assam Petro-Chemicals Limited (APL) has released an official advertisement for the engagement of 20 Diploma and ITI Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. The apprenticeship training will be conducted under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) and the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS). Eligible candidates can attend the Walk-in-Interaction scheduled on 29 and 30 July 2026 at APL, Namrup, Assam.
Vacancy Details:
A total of 20 Apprentice vacancies are available under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) and National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS). The discipline-wise vacancy distribution is as follows:
1. Mechanical Apprentice
• Total Posts: 6
• Diploma (J.E.): 2 Posts
• ITI: 4 Posts
2. Electrical Apprentice
• Total Posts: 6
• Diploma (J.E.): 4 Posts
• ITI: 2 Posts
3. Instrumentation Apprentice
• Total Posts: 4
• Diploma (J.E.): 2 Posts
• ITI: 2 Posts
4. Civil Apprentice
• Total Posts: 2
• Diploma (J.E.): 2 Posts
• ITI: No Vacancy
5. Chemical Apprentice

Important Note: Candidates possessing an ITI qualification in the Diesel Mechanic trade are not eligible to apply for the Mechanical Apprentice discipline.
Note: Candidates having ITI in Diesel Mechanic Trade are not eligible for the Mechanical discipline. Candidates belonging to OBC must possess a valid Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) certificate; otherwise, they will be treated under the General category.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have:
(i) Passed the relevant Engineering Diploma or ITI examination.
(ii) Obtained the qualification within the last five years preceding the Walk-in-Interaction.
(iii) Secured at least 55% marks in the qualifying examination.
Relaxation: A 5% relaxation in minimum qualifying marks is available for SC, ST(P), ST(H), and OBC-NCL candidates.
Monthly Stipend:
The selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend as per the Apprenticeship Rules (Amended 2019):
ITI Apprentices: ₹8,200/- or ₹9,600/- (as applicable)
Diploma in Engineering Apprentices: ₹10,900/- per month.
Selection Process:
Selection will be made strictly on the basis of:
• Merit (percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination)
• Verification of original documents
• Fulfilment of eligibility conditions

30 July 2026: Chemical & Instrumentation
Time: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
