The Department of Psychiatry, Addiction Treatment Facility (ATF), AIIMS Guwahati, under the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction (NAPDDR) with support from the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MoSJE), Government of India, has released an official advertisement for the recruitment of contractual staff for Addiction Treatment Services. Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
Essential: MD/DNB - Postgraduate
qualification in Psychiatry from NMC recognized institution.
Desirable: Any post-doctoral/fellowship qualifications including PDF/DM in
Addiction Psychiatry. At least 2 research publications in PUBMED indexed journals. Research experience in mental health related projects.
Age Limit: Up to 40 years as of the date of the interview (Age relaxation as per Government of India norms)
Roles & Responsibilities:
Selected candidate will assist in:
(a) Assessment and diagnostic services for addiction patients
(b) Pharmacological and psychotherapeutic treatmen
(c) Referral services and networking with district hospitals/collaborators
(d) Motivational interviews and counselling
(e) Data review, report writing, and clinical documentation
(f) Day-to-day functioning & supervision of the ATF Centre
(g) Conducting community outreach & awareness programmes
(h) Coordination with NGO partners
(i) Training ATF project staff and managing cases
(j) Multidisciplinary clinical team management
