The Directorate of Sericulture, Assam, has released a Walk-in Interview notification inviting eligible Indian citizens for engagement under the Silk Samagra-2 scheme funded by the Central Silk Board, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. The Directorate will engage candidates on a contractual basis for 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance.
Walk-in Interview Date: 21/11/2025 (from 11:00 AM onwards)
Name of Posts:
(i) Master Weaver
(ii) Master Reeler cum Spinner (iii)Technician
No of Posts: 03 (There is one vacancy for each post.)
Salary: Rs. 21,000/- per month (lump sum) as per CSS/SILK SAMAGRA-2 guidelines.
Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification: Minimum Class 8 passed and above.
Experience Requirements:
(i) Master Weaver: Minimum 3 years of weaving experience with demonstrative technical skills.
(ii) Master Reeler cum Spinner: Minimum 3 years of reeling & spinning experience with demonstrative practical skills.
(iii) Technician: Minimum 2 years of weaving/reeling/spinning experience.
Age Limit:
Minimum: 25 years
Maximum: 55 years
Required Documents:
Candidates must bring the following documents in original during the interview:
1. Identification, Address & Age Proof (Aadhaar/PAN/School Certificate etc.)
2. 3 Passport-size Photographs (recent)
3. Educational Qualification Certificates
4. Experience Certificates for relevant field
Important Instructions:
1. Mere fulfillment of eligibility criteria does not guarantee selection.
2. The engagement is purely temporary and does not guarantee future employment.
3. The Directorate may terminate the contract without notice if performance is unsatisfactory.
4. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
5. Candidates may be deployed in any district of Assam as assigned by the Sericulture Department.
6. The Directorate reserves the right to cancel or modify the notification at any stage without assigning any reason.
