The Directorate of Sericulture in Assam has a job opportunity. They are having a walk in interview for citizens who are eligible. The Directorate of Sericulture in Assam is looking for people to work under the Silk Samagra-2 scheme. This scheme is funded by the Central Silk Board, which's part of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. The people they hire will work for the Directorate of Sericulture in Assam for 12 months.. They have to do a good job or they might not get to work the full 12 months with the Directorate of Sericulture, in Assam.
Walk-in Interview Date: 21/11/2025 (from 11:00 AM onwards)
No of Posts: 03 (There is one vacancy for each post.)
Salary: Rs. 21,000/- per month (lump sum) as per CSS/SILK SAMAGRA-2 guidelines.
Eligibility Criteria: The educational qualification that we are looking for is that the person should have passed at Class 8 and anything, above that.
Experience Requirements:
(i) Master Weaver: Minimum 3 years of weaving experience with demonstrative technical skills.
(ii) Master Reeler cum Spinner: Minimum 3 years of reeling & spinning experience with demonstrative practical skills.
(iii) Technician: Minimum 2 years of weaving/reeling/spinning experience.
Age Limit:
Minimum: 25 years
Maximum: 55 years
Required Documents:
When you go for the interview you need to bring these documents with you. The interview people want to see the documents, not copies. They want to see the documents for the candidates. The candidates must have the documents ready, for the interview.
1. Identification, Address & Age Proof (Aadhaar/PAN/School Certificate etc.)
2. 3 Passport-size Photographs (recent)
3. Educational Qualification Certificates
4. Experience Certificates for relevant field
Important Instructions:
1. Just because you meet the requirements it does not mean you will be selected for the position. Meeting the requirements is not enough to get you the job the selection process for the position is more complex, than that.
2. This job is for a short time and it does not mean you will get a job with the company in the future. The engagement with the company is temporary. It does not guarantee that you will have a job, with them after it is over. The company is very clear that this temporary engagement does not promise any employment.
3. The Directorate can end the contract at any time if they are not happy, with the work that is being done. The Directorate will do this if the work is not good enough.
4. They will not give you any money, for traveling and staying when you go for the interview of the job. The company will not pay you for these things. You have to pay for your travel and stay when you come for the interview of the job.
5. The Sericulture Department can send candidates to work in any district of Assam. The candidates will have to go to the district that the Sericulture Department chooses for them. The Sericulture Department is, in charge of deciding where the candidates will work in Assam.
6. The Directorate reserves the right to cancel or modify the notification at any stage without assigning any reason.
How to Attend:
People who are eligible for this need to come to the interview in person, with all the papers and small photos of themselves on November 21st, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the following place:

People who are taking the test should get there on time. They need to make sure all their papers are, in the order. If the candidates are late they will not be allowed to take the test. The candidates should double check that they have all the necessary documents and the documents are arranged properly for the candidates.
