Annual Increment: ₹3,000/- based on satisfactory performance
Educational Qualification (any one of the following):
Master’s Degree in Hindi with English as elective/compulsory subject or as medium of examination
OR
Master’s Degree in English with Hindi as elective/compulsory subject or as medium of examination
OR
Master’s Degree in any subject (other than Hindi/English) with Hindi medium and English as elective/compulsory subject or as medium of examination
OR
Master’s Degree in any subject (other than Hindi/English) with English medium and Hindi as elective/compulsory subject or as medium of examination
OR
Master’s Degree in any subject with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects
OR
Bachelor’s Degree with Hindi and English as compulsory/elective subjects plus a recognized Diploma/Certificate in Translation from Hindi to English and vice-versa
Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in Rajbhasha-related activities (especially translation work) in any Central Government/State Government/PSU/Autonomous Body.
Age Limit:
Minimum: 25 years
Maximum: 50 years as on 01/01/2025
Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST & 3 years for OBC candidates
Tenure of Engagement:
(a) The initial appointment will be for 1 year
(b) May be extended year-to-year, based on requirement and performance, up to maximum 4 extensions
The job is, for a certain period of time it is not a permanent position. The post is purely contractual which means that the person who gets the job will not have any claim to become an employee of the NEC Secretariat. No one will be considered for a position just because they are working in this role.
Place of Posting: NEC Secretariat, Nongrim Hills, Shillong
Scope of Work:
(a) Implementation of Rajbhasha-related programs and activities in NEC
(b) Translation from English to Hindi and vice-versa
(c) Typing in Hindi (Unicode, Krutidev, etc.) and English as required
(d) Providing translation support during meetings/events
(e) Attending day-to-day translation assignments of NEC officers and staff
(f) Official tours for translation services whenever required
Leave & Other Benefits:
(a) 8 days Casual Leave per year
(b) Maternity leave benefits as per Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Act, 2017
No residential accommodation will be provided by the company. The candidate must arrange for their accommodation. They have to find a place to stay on their own. The company will not provide any housing, for the candidate.
