The Assam Science Technology and Environment Council (ASTE Council), under the Science and Technology Department, Govt. of Assam, has released an official notice for a walk-in interview for the recruitment of manpower for the position of Accountant (Contractual). This engagement is purely on a contractual basis for a period of 11 Months.

Salary & Remuneration: The fixed remuneration is Rs. 35,000/- + CPF as applicable.
Eligibility Criteria:
Essential Qualification: Candidates must have a 1st Class B.Com with Specialisation in Accountancy and a 1 year Diploma/Certificate in Computer Application.
Minimum Working Experience: To be eligible, candidates must have a minimum of 4 (four) years of working experience in the field of Finance, Taxation & Accounting.
Desirable Experience: Additional weightage will be given to candidates having experience of working under a Practicing CA/CA Firm.
Required Proficiency: Candidates should have adequate knowledge and proficiency in:
(a) Preparation and Finalisation of Annual Accounts along with Balance Sheet etc.
(b) Auditing.
(c) Income Tax Return (ITR) Filing.
(d) Handling of Income Tax Compliances such as Income Tax Appeal and other Litigation related works.
(e) GST, TDS, CPF, Labour Cess etc..
(f) Proficiency in MS Office, Tally Prime etc..

Time of Interview: 11 AM Onwards.
Place of Interview: Office of the ASTE Council, Bigyan Bhawan, G.S. Road, Guwahati - 781005.
Registration Time: Only Eligible Candidates will be registered from 9:30 AM onwards. No candidates will be registered after 11:00 AM.
