Applications are invited from eligible and interested candidates for the post of Gaon Pradhan. The recruitment will be done as per Assam Government rules. Eligibility Criteria:
1. The applicant shall be a citizen of India and shall be a permanent resident of the village or villages of the Gaon Pradhan Lat in which the application is made for recruitment.2. Applicants should be not less than 30 years of age and below 65 years of age on 01-12-2025 and should have passed High School Leaving Certificate Examination (H.S.LC) or equivalent.
3. The applicant shall not have more than 2 (two) living children. The applicant shall submit an affidavit with the application that he has no more than 2 (two) living children in this case.
4. Applicants should be physically fit and of sound mind.
5. The applicant should not be financially bankrupt and in debt to any government funds.
6. Candidates from village head families will be given priority in recruitment and the opinion of the Mouzadar will be considered in this regard.
7. Applicants cannot be government employees.
8. The applicant shall have land/property in his/her own name in the area where he/she wishes to be appointed as Gaon Pradhan.
9. Applicants shall not be members of any political party.
10. Applicants should voluntarily cooperate in the implementation of government policies and programs and during natural disasters.
11. Applicants should be persons of high standing, skilled and equally respectable.
How to Apply:
Interested candidates must submit submit their applications to the offices of their respective Circle Officers by 5.00 pm on 30-12-2025 along with all required self-attested documents.Incomplete applications will be rejected.
Documents Required (Self-attested):
(a) Certificate of educational qualifications must be submitted.
(b) Proof of age Birth Certificate / HSLC Admit Card or Pass certificate) should be submitted.
(c) The applicant should mention the LAT No. and name of the village in which the applicant is applying correctly.
(d) You must submit a certificate of land in your own name.
(e) Certificate of social work experience is required.
(f) Applicants from village-headed families are required to submit a certificate of opinion from the Mouzadar.
(g) The rest must submit a debt free certificate.
(h) Applicants are required to submit 2 (two) copies of their (Recent Pass Port Size) photographs. Applicants must submit a shanat nama without more than 2 (two) children.
