Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications:
(i) M.Sc. in Physics
(ii) Ph.D. in Physics / Materials Science / Polymer Science / Nanoscience
(iii) Expertise in electrical measurements
(iv) Experience in synthesis of functional nanomaterials and polymer nanocomposites
(v) Experience in fabricating free-standing films of polymer/polymer composite materials or advanced functional nanomaterials
Desirable Qualifications:
(i) Experience in handling electrical and electrochemical measurement setups
(ii) Research experience in polymer/functional nanomaterials related to supercapacitors, energy storage, or polymer-based sensing applications
Publication Requirement: At least 2 first-author publications in peer-reviewed national or international journals with impact factor above 2
Note: Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis but are awaiting award of the degree are also eligible to apply.
Age Limit:
Upper Age Limit: 35 years at the time of application

Duration of Fellowship:
(i) Initially for 12 months
(ii) May be extended up to one additional year (in stretches of 6 months), subject to satisfactory performance
Nature of Support:
(i) Fellowship can be availed only once in a candidate’s career
(ii) Candidates who completed Ph.D. from IASST are not eligible
(iii) Fellows will work under a designated mentor
(iv) No other Government or Non-Government fellowship can be availed during the tenure
(v) Leave entitlement as per IASST norms
Selection Procedure:
(i) Shortlisting based on eligibility and credentials
(ii) Interview and short presentation of Ph.D. work / research proposal
(iii) Interview may be conducted through video conferencing, subject to approval
(iv) Only shortlisted candidates will be informed
