The ICAR–National Research Centre on Pig (NRCP), Rani, Guwahati has released an official notification for the recruitment of various temporary and contractual posts under NASF, DHR, NPGET and ARIS Cell projects. A total of 05 posts will be filled through Walk-in Interview. Interested and eligible candidates are invited to appear for the interview as per the schedule given below. 1st Post
Name of Post: Young Professional-II (YP-II)
Project: NASF Project – “Advancing Nipah Virus Control”
No. of Posts: 01
Salary: Rs. 42,000/- per month (fixed)
Date of Interview: 17/12/2025
Essential:
• Postgraduate (M.Sc./M.V.Sc./M.Tech.) in Life Science / Veterinary Science / Bioscience / Bioengineering / Biotechnology / Biochemistry from a recognized university.
Desirable:
• Field visits for sample collection.
• Experience in isothermal amplification techniques.
Age Limit: 21 to 45 years (Relaxation as per Govt. of India rules)
2nd Post
Name of Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Project: DHR-funded – “Novel Autochthonous Probiotic Bacterial Isolates…”
No. of Posts: 01
Salary:
• Rs. 37,000/- + 10% HRA (first 2 years)
• Rs. 42,000/- + 10% HRA (from 3rd year onwards as SRF)

Essential:
• Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR
• Graduate/Post Graduate in Professional Course selected through:
- NET (CSIR/UGC), GATE, or
- National level examination conducted by DST/DBT/ICMR/DBT/ICAR/IIT/IISc etc.
Desirable:
• Hands-on experience in microbiology techniques.
• Experience in molecular biology (PCR, qPCR, ELISA, bioinformatics).
Age Limit: 35 years for men and 40 years for women (Relaxation applicable)
3rd Post

Project: DHR-funded – “Serological & Molecular Surveillance of Swine Influenza…”

Salary:
• Rs. 37,000/- + 10% HRA (first 2 years)
• Rs. 42,000/- + 10% HRA (from 3rd year as SRF)

Essential:
Same NET/GATE/CSIR/UGC criteria as above.
Desirable:
• Field visits for sample collection & community surveys (KAP studies).
• Experience in PCR, ELISA, sequencing data analysis.

• Rs. 37,000/- + HRA (1st & 2nd year)
• Rs. 42,000/- + HRA (3rd year)

Essential:
• PG degree in Life Sciences/Veterinary Sciences/Bioscience/Biotechnology/Biochemistry with 4/5-year Bachelor’s degree
OR
• PG in Basic Sciences with NET or GATE qualification as per ICAR/DST guidelines.
Desirable:
• Experience in cell/embryo culture, IVEP, RT-PCR, cloning.
Age Limit: 35 years (men), 40 years (women) with relaxation as per ICAR rules
