Pay Matrix Level: Level 10 (as per 7th CPC)
Age Limit: Up to 35 years (No upper age limit for regular employees of IIT Guwahati)
Educational & Other Qualification:
Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale.
Desirable Qualification:
Minimum 5 years of relevant administrative experience in educational administration or comparable experience in research establishments or institutions of higher education in a Group B post at Pay Level 8 or above. Preference will be given to candidates having experience in general administration including Examination, Academic, R&D, Students’ Affairs, Establishment, Stores & Purchase, Finance & Accounts in a Centrally Funded Technical Institution (CFTI).
2nd Post
Name of Post: Junior Assistant
No. of Posts: 17b(UR – 04, SC – 01, ST – 02, OBC-NCL – 06, EWS – 04)
(One post out of additional vacancies may be reserved for PWBD candidates)
Pay Matrix Level: Level 3 (as per 7th CPC)
Age Limit: Up to 27 years (No upper age limit for regular employees of IIT Guwahati)
Educational & Other Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree with knowledge of computer office applications.
Application Fee:
Assistant Registrar: ₹1000/- (General/OBC-NCL)Junior Assistant: ₹500/- (General/OBC-NCL)
SC/ST, Women candidates and PWBD applicants are exempted from payment of application fee.
Selection Procedure:
Selection will be based on Written Examination / Skill Test / Interview, as applicable for the post. IIT Guwahati reserves the right to decide the mode of screening and selection.
