The Office of the Registrar, Gurucharan University, Silchar (Cachar, Assam), has issued an official advertisement  inviting applications for the appointment of Contractual Teachers (Teaching Assistants). Gurucharan University is a State University recently upgraded from Gurucharan College under the Assam Act No. LVII of 2023. These positions are purely temporary in nature.

Department Vacancies:

Applications are invited for the following ten departments:
1. Botany
2. Commerce
3. Hindi
4. Mass Communication
5. Persian
6. Philosophy
7. Physics
8. Political Science
9. Sanskrit
10. Zoology

Eligibility Criteria:

Primary Requirement: Candidates possessing NET, SLET, or a Ph.D. in the respective subjects are eligible to apply.

Special Provision: Candidates who do not possess UGC-mandated qualifications may still apply. However, such candidates will only be considered for teaching in Higher Secondary classes.

Nationality: Applicants must be Indian nationals.

Salary and Service Terms:

Remuneration: The salary for these contractual positions is negotiable.

Nature of Engagement: The appointments are purely temporary and on a contractual basis.

Educational Qualifications: Details of HSLC, Higher Secondary, Graduation (BA/BSc/BCom), Masters, Ph.D./M.Phil, NET, and SLET.

Age Proof: A copy of the HSLC Admit Card is mandatory for age verification.

Experience: A certificate documenting teaching experience in terms of number of years.

Category Certificate: Valid certificates for reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC/MOBC, or Differently Abled) from appropriate authorities.

Annexure A: A completed Annexure A form (Click Here ) detailing educational qualifications and publications/chapters (with ISSN/ISBN numbers) must be attached at the top of the testimonials.

Photograph: A recent passport-size photograph must be pasted on the application form.
