The Office of the District and Sessions Judge, Goalpara, Assam has released an official recruitment advertisement for 2026 inviting applications from eligible Indian citizens for filling up several Grade-IV and Driver posts under the establishment of the District Judiciary, Goalpara.
This recruitment notification is issued in continuation of an earlier advertisement of the office and aims to fill vacant posts through a transparent selection process. The engagement will be governed strictly by the rules and norms of the Government of Assam.

Category-wise Reservation:
The vacancies are distributed among the following categories:
Unreserved (UR)
OBC / MOBC
Reservation will be followed as per existing Government of Assam rules.
Pay Scale:
Selected candidates will be entitled to regular pay scales as per Assam Government norms:
Chowkidar / Peon:
Pay Band–1: ₹12,000 – ₹52,000 per month
Grade Pay: ₹3,900/-
Driver:
Pay Band–2: ₹14,000 – ₹70,000 per month
Grade Pay: ₹5,200/-
Age Limit:
Minimum Age: 18 years
Maximum Age: 38 years
Age relaxation will be applicable as per existing rules of the Government of Assam for reserved categories.
Educational Qualification:
For Chowkidar / Peon Posts:
1. Candidate must have passed minimum Class VIII
2. Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary (Class XII) or above are NOT eligible to apply for these posts
For Driver Post:
1. No upper limit on educational qualification
2. Candidate must possess a valid LMV (Light Motor Vehicle) Driving Licence issued by a competent authority
3. Driving licence must be valid at the time of application and selection .
Citizenship Requirement
Applicants must be:
Citizens of India, as defined under Article 5 & 6 of the Constitution of India
