Name of Post: GIS Assistant

No. of Posts: 01 (one)

Remuneration: Rs. 25,000/- per month (fixed)

Duration of Engagement: Till 31st March, 2026 (subject to extension by Govt.)


Job Responsibilities:

1. Digitization of geospatial data for Cadastral and Non-cadastral villages.

2. Performing quality assurance checks on GIS data for accuracy and completeness.

3. Preparation of GIS-related reports, presentations, and data visualizations.

4. Drone photo and High-Resolution Satellite Imagery (HRSI) interpretation.

5. Providing GIS technical support to team members and end-users.

Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geology, Mathematics, Geo-informatics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field with a Certificate/Diploma in GIS & Remote Sensing or Geo-informatics.
   OR
M.Tech./M.Sc. in GIS & Remote sensing/Geo-informatics.
   OR
M.A./M.Sc. in Geography, Geology, MCA, Mathematics, or Environmental Science with Geo-informatics as a subject or a Certificate/Diploma in GIS/Remote Sensing.

Experience: Prior experience in a GIS-related role or internship is preferred; specifically, candidates with at least 01 year of relevant work experience will be given preference.

Desirable Skills: Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or Global Mapper. Familiarity with spatial data formats (Shapefiles, GeoJSON, KML) and coordinate systems. Knowledge of image processing and data collection through drone surveys.

Other Skills: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Docs. Fluency in Assamese, Hindi, and English is required. Preference is given to RCCC trained candidates with GIS command.

Age Limit: Above 21 years and not more than 45 years as of 01-Dec-2025.

  (a) Detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV).
  (b) Photo Identity & Address Proof.
  (c) Original Educational Certificates (from HSLC onwards).

Nature of Post: The offer is purely contractual and co-terminus with the end of the project requirement, with no provision for regularization.

TA/DA: No TA/DA or official accommodation will be provided for appearing in the interview.
