Eligibility and Eligible Categories:

The DLSA Chirang has invited applications from people who really want to help the community. These people must live in the Chirang district. The DLSA Chirang is looking for people from groups, such, as:

1. Teachers (including retired teachers)

2. Retired Government of Assam employees and senior citizens

3. M.S.W. students and teachers

4. Anganwadi workers

5. Doctors and physicians

6. Students and law students (until enrollment as advocates)

7. Members of non-political, service-oriented NGOs and clubs

8. Members of Women Neighbourhood Groups, Mahila Mitras, Maithri Sanghams

9. Members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs)


Educational Qualification:

Minimum qualification: Matriculation (Class 10 pass)

They should, first of all, be very capable people who understand things, and their intention should be to serve society. They should have an idea about what's going on around them and think about how they may contribute to making that better, in society. Candidates should really be interested in serving society and striving to make it better.


Nature of Work and Responsibilities:

Para Legal Volunteers are really important because they help connect people, with the District Legal Services Authority. The things Para Legal Volunteers do include:

1. Assisting in organizing Legal Awareness Programmes

2. Helping conduct Legal Services Camps

3. Visiting victims, under-trial prisoners, and needy individuals

4. Supporting the implementation of various NALSA Schemes

5. Promoting access to justice at the grassroots level

Honorarium: ₹750 per day
