The Assam Veterinary and Fisheries University has released an official recruitment notification for the post of Laboratory Assistant under an ICMR-funded Institutional Support Project in the Department of Animal Biotechnology, College of Veterinary Science, Khanapara, Guwahati. Monthly Salary: Rs. 20,000/- + HRA (10% HRA admissible)
Essential Qualification:
12th (H.S.) in Science with Diploma (MLT/DMLT/Engineering or equivalent) and 5 years experience in relevant subject/field
OR
Three years Graduate Degree in relevant subject/field with 2 years experience in relevant subject.
Desirable Qualification:
(i) Basic knowledge of computers such as MS Office and Excel
(ii) Working experience in Molecular/Microbiology Laboratory or biological sample/data collection
Preferred Candidates:
Candidates having:
• Animal cell culture work experience
• Ability to undertake extensive tours throughout Assam for animal disease-related data and sample collection
• Experience in conducting training programmes
Age Limit:
Maximum Age: 30 years
Age relaxation is admissible for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government of India rules.
Selection Process: The selection will be done through a Walk-in-Interview scheduled on 5 June 2026. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview. Shortlisted candidates will be informed through email or phone on 2 June 2026.
