The State Bank of India (SBI) has released the official notification for the recruitment of 1500 Probationary Officers (PO) across India. Eligible graduates can apply online through the SBI Careers portal from 18 June 2026 to 08 July 2026

Selected candidates will be appointed in Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I).
Starting Basic Pay: Rs. 48,480/-
Pay Scale: Rs. 48,480 – 85,920/-
Approximate Annual CTC: Rs. 21.97 Lakh (Mumbai Centre)

Educational Qualification:
Candidates must possess:
(i) Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university, OR
(ii) Equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
Candidates in the final year/semester of graduation may also apply provisionally, provided they produce proof of passing graduation on or before 30 September 2026.

Minimum Age: 21 Years
Maximum Age: 30 Years
Candidates must have been born between 02 April 1996 and 01 April 2005 (both dates inclusive).

SBI PO Selection Process:
The recruitment process consists of three phases:
Phase-I: Preliminary Examination
English Language: 40 Marks
Quantitative Aptitude: 30 Marks
Reasoning Ability: 30 Marks
Total: 100 Marks
Phase-II: Main Examination
Objective Test:
- Reasoning & Computer Aptitude
- Data Analysis & Interpretation
- General Awareness/Economy/Banking Knowledge
- English Language
Descriptive Test:
- Email Writing
- Situation Analysis
- Report Writing/Precis Writing
Phase-III
- Psychometric Test

- Personal Interview
Final merit will be prepared based on marks obtained in the Main Examination and Interview process.
