Pragjyotish College has announced a contractual recruitment notification for 2 Junior Research Fellow and one Project Assistant Vacancies. Eligible candidates can take part in this opportunity.

(1) Name of Post: Junior Research Fellow
Duration: Three (03) Years
No of Posts: 1
Education Qualifications: M.Sc. in Botany/Biotechnology/Life Sciences Plant Sciences/Agriculture or any other relevant discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC candidates)
Desirable Qualification:
(a) Prior experience in plant tissue culture, orchid taxonomy, micropropagation, molecular biology techniques, or handling of laboratory instruments.
(b) NET/GATE/DBT-BET qualified candidates will be preferred as per DBT guidelines.
Salary: As per DBT rule (Ref. DST OM No. DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022, dt. 26.06.2023)
(2) Name of Post: Project Assistant
Duration: Three (03) Years
No of Posts: 1
Education Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Botany Biotechnology/Life Sciences/ Agriculture or any related discipline from a recognized university
Desirable Qualification: Prior experience in laboratory work and fieldwork. Basic knowledge of data entry and record-keeping. Good communication and organizational skills.
Salary: Rs. 20,000/- per month + HRA (As per rule)
General Instructions:
1. General DBT guidelines for Contractual Employment will be applicable.
2. The above posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
3. Candidate appearing in the final semester may also apply for the position. However, at the time of interview candidate must submit final semester marksheet/certificate.
4. Age relaxation will be admissible to SC/ST and OBC candidates as per Govt. of India rules.
5. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.
6. Short-listed candidates must carry a set of photocopies of documents (testimonials of qualifications, mark sheets, experience, date of birth etc.) along with originals for verification.
7. No objection certificate from employer should be produced at the time of interview in case he/she is employed elsewhere.
8. Experience certificate in original, if any, should be produced at the time of interview.
9. Only those who are interested to serve at least for a period of one year considering present duration of project may attend the interview. For latest updates/notifications/addendums etc. in the above matter, the candidates are advised to keep in touch regularly with the Institute website.
10. All other terms and conditions of appointment will be governed by prevailing Institute rules and the decision of the Chairman of the Selection Committee will be final and binding.
11. Selected candidates need to join immediately or at very short notice.
