Assam Agricultural University (AAU), Jorhat, has released Advertisement for the recruitment of various contractual posts under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme-Agriculture Technology Management Agency (CSS-ATMA) (Agriculture Extension), Directorate of Agriculture, Assam. A total of 489 temporary and contractual posts are to be filled. These posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. Indian Citizens are invited to apply online.

The vacancies are divided into District Level and Block Level posts.

A. District Level Posts

1. Name of Post: Deputy Project Director
  
    No. of Posts: 22
  
    Salary: ₹52,000/- per month (fixed)
   
    Qualification: Post-graduate in Agriculture/Allied Sector
  
     Minimum Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity in Agriculture and Allied Sector. BTM (Block Technology Manager) having 5 years of experience is also eligible.

2. Name of Post: Accountant cum Clerk

    No. of Posts: 18
 
    Salary: ₹30,000/- per month (fixed)

    Qualification: B. Com
  
     Minimum Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience of Accountancy in a reputed organization to the satisfaction of the State Government.

3. Name of Post: Computer Programmer
 
    No. of Posts: 19

    Salary: ₹25,000/- per month (fixed)

    Qualification: B. Tech in Computer Science or MCA
  
     Minimum Experience: 1 year experience for B. Tech and 2 years for MCA.

B. Block Level Posts

1. Name of Post: Block Technology Manager
 
     No. of Posts: 103
  
     Salary: ₹30,000/- per month (fixed)

     Qualification: Post Graduate in Agriculture & Allied Sector with Computer Skills OR Agri Graduate with minimum 5 years working experience as ATM (Assistant Technology Manager).
  
    Minimum Experience: Minimum 2 years field experience in Agri related activities.

2. Name of Post: Assistant Technology Manager

     No. of Posts: 327

     Salary: ₹25,000/- per month (fixed)

     Qualification: Graduate (Agri/Allied Sector)/Post Graduate (Agri/Allied Sector)

      Minimum Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in Agri related activities.

NB: The number of vacancies shown above may be varied (increase or decrease) in the future.

Eligibility and Age Limit:

1. Nationality: Candidate must be an Indian citizen.

2. Age Limit (as on 01.01.2025):

   (a) Deputy Project Director, Accountant cum Clerk, and Computer Programmer: Not less than 21 years and more than 40 years.

   (b) Block Technology Manager and Assistant Technology Manager: Upper age limit is 45 years.

3. Qualification and Experience: Candidates must hold the prescribed qualification from any recognized University and possess the minimum required experience on the date of application submission. The age will be calculated based on the Matriculation/HSLC Admit Card/Certificate.

How to Apply:

Applicants are required to upload all necessary self-attested supporting documents, including Experience Certificate, NOC, Qualification Certificate, Caste Certificate, one recent passport-size photograph, and signature as per the prescribed format. One candidate can apply against one post only since the examinations for all posts will be held on the same date and time. Applying for more than one post will lead to rejection of candidature.

Application Fee Payment:

The payment must be made online only.

(i) General Category Candidates: ₹200/- (Rupees Two hundred only)

(ii) Reserved Category Candidates: ₹100/- (Rupees One Hundred only)

(iii) BPL and PWD Candidates: No application fee is applicable

Selection Procedure:

The selection process will be solely on the basis of merit and marks obtained in the written test.

Written Test Details:

(i) Type: OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) based examination.

(ii) Question Type: Objective type with multiple choices.

(iii) Total Marks/Questions: 100 Marks, having 100 questions, each carrying 1 mark.

(iv) Negative Marking: There will be no negative marks.

(v) Duration: 3 hours.

(vi) Examination Zones: Guwahati, Tezpur, Jorhat, Silchar, Bongaigaon. Centres may be varied and will be notified later.

Important Instructions:

Candidates must use ONLY BLACK/BLUE BALL PEN for the OMR test. Use of Eraser, Chemical, or Correction Fluid on the OMR sheet is strictly prohibited, and such sheets will not be evaluated.

Written Examination Syllabus:

(i) Deputy Project Director: Quantitative Aptitude, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & Reasoning, General English, Current Affairs, Computer Knowledge, Agricultural Extension, Broad based Agriculture, ATMA & other agriculture department Schemes.

(ii) Accountant cum Clerk: Quantitative Aptitude, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Computer Knowledge, General English, Accountancy computer knowledge.

(iii) Computer Programmer: Quantitative Aptitude, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Computer application, Computer Science (Software & Hardware).

(iv) Block Technology Manager/Assistant Technology Manager: Quantitative Aptitude, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness & Current Affairs, General English, Computer Knowledge, General Agriculture.

General Terms and Conditions:

(i) Contract Period: The initial engagement will be for 11 months, which may be extended further for another 11 months at a time, based on satisfactory performance and project continuation.

(ii) Job Status: This is a purely contractual engagement. Selected candidates will not be entitled to claim for regular appointment/absorption in Government Service in the future.

(iii) Posting: Selected candidates may be appointed in any District/Block of Assam and cannot claim to be posted in their home district.

(iv) Document Verification: Candidates successful in the written test will be called for the verification of original documents. Any discrepancy found will lead to rejection/disqualification, and the department may debar the candidate from applying in future posts.

(v) Contract Agreement: Selected candidates must sign a Contract Agreement with the Department and bring a non-judicial stamp paper of ₹20/- at the time of signing the contract.
