The Office of the District Legal Kokrajhar, has released an official advertisement inviting applications for contractual engagement of Peon. The engagement is initially for one year as per the Legal Aid Defense Counsel Modified Scheme, 2022, of the National Legal Services Authority. The appointments are purely temporary and on a contract basis and do not entitle the person to be regularized in Government Service.

Eligibility Criteria:
Education Qualification: Candidate must be Class VIII passed. Those who have passed HSSLC (Class XII) or above shall not be eligible to apply.Citizenship: The Candidate must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
Mode of Application: Hand delivery at the office or sent through post/courier service.
Selection Procedure: The list of eligible candidates, date, time, venue, and mode for conducting the selection procedure will be published in the official website of District Judiciary, Kokrajhar.
Updates: No individual call letters will be issued to the applicants. Applicants are requested to regularly visit the given website (https://kokrajhar.dcourts.gov.in/) and the Official Facebook Page of District Legal Services Authority Kokrajhar for updates.
How to Apply:
(i) Applications must be duly filled in the Standard Form (as per IX of Assam Gazette).(ii) The application must be accompanied by self-attested photocopies of all relevant documents/testimonials and 02 (two) copies of recent passport size photographs.
(iii) The application should be addressed to the Secretary, "District Legal Services Authority, Kokrajhar".
(iv) The name of the post ("Peon") should be clearly mentioned at the top of the envelope.
(v) Providing a contact number with an email ID is compulsory.
(vi) The applications may be hand delivered at the Office of District Legal Services Authority, Kokrajhar, or sent through post/courier service.
(vii) The application must reach the office on or before 02/01/2026 up to 5 P.M.. No application will be entertained after the last date fixed.
