(i) Outstanding professional with Ph.D degree in relevant/allied/applied disciplines
(ii) Significant contribution to knowledge in the discipline with documentary evidence

15 years as Assistant Professor (Academic Level 11 & above)
OR
8 years in Academic Level 12 & above including Associate Professor with experience in Educational Administration
OR
Comparable experience in research establishments / higher education institutions
OR
15 years administrative experience, including 8 years as Deputy Registrar or equivalent
Tenure: Five (05) years or till attaining 60 years of age, whichever is earlier

10 years teaching experience as Assistant/Associate Professor in Library Science
OR
10 years experience as College Librarian
(iii) Evidence of innovative library services including ICT integration
(iv) Ph.D degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation / Archives & Manuscript Keeping
