The State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam, has released multiple notifications for a massive recruitment drive scheduled for 2026. These advertisements invite online applications from eligible Indian citizens and permanent residents of Assam to fill over 3,300 vacancies across various departments including the Forest Department, Assam Police Radio Organisation (APRO), Fire & Emergency Services (F&ES), Prison Department, and Directorate of Civil Defence & Home Guards (DGCD & CGHG).

Education Qualifications:
1. Forester Grade-I: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent.
2. Sub Officer & Constable (WO/WT): Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary (Science) examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized Board or Council. Obtaining pass marks in PCM is mandatory.
3. Fireman & Emergency Rescuer: Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary (Science) from a recognized Board or Council.
4. Forest Guard, Game Watcher & Constable (UB): Candidates must have passed H.S. (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or Council.
5. AFPF Constable, Constable (Grade-III), Bandman, Bugler & Jail Warder: Candidates must have passed HSLC or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or Council.
Note for Constable (Grade-III), Bandman & Bugler: Home Guard Certificate or Minimum NCC 'A' Certificate is mandatory (except for Ex-Servicemen).
Note for Bandman: Proficiency in playing instruments like Bagpipes, Drums, etc., is required.
Note for Bugler: Proficiency in playing the Bugle is required.
6. Tailor: Candidates must have passed HSLC or Class-X and possess a Diploma in Tailoring from an institute recognized by the Govt. of Assam. They must also have trade skills including the ability to operate sewing machines and knowledge of fabrics.
7. Dresser: Candidates must have passed HSLC or Class-X and possess a 02 (two) years' experience certificate on Dresser (Medical) work from a Govt. recognized Institute. Trade skills regarding sterilization, bandaging, etc., are required.
8. Nurse: Candidates must possess a Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) from a Govt. Medical College.
9. Pharmacist: Candidates must possess a Diploma in Pharmacy from a Govt. Medical College and be registered under the Assam Pharmacy Council.
10. Craft Instructor: Candidates must have passed HSLC or Class-X and possess a Certificate in Bamboo & Cane work, Tailoring, Weaving, or Soap making from an ITI or recognized Institute.
11. Craft Helper: Candidates must have passed HSLC or Class-X and possess a 1-month Certificate in Carpentry from an ITI or recognized Institute.
12. Yoga Instructor & Yoga Instructress: Candidates must have passed HS and possess a Diploma in Yoga from a recognized Institute.
13. Boatman: Candidates must have passed HSLC or equivalent examination under any Govt. recognized board and must possess proficiency in swimming.
14. Grade IV Posts (Cook, Barber, Water Carrier, Dhobi, Cobbler): Candidates must be Minimum Class VIII passed from a recognized School or Institution. The maximum qualification allowed is HSSLC or Class XII passed.
Additional Requirements:
Cook: Training Certificate from Sector Skill Council (SSC) OR Minimum 1-year working experience from a registered Hotel/Institution.
Barber: Training Certificate from SSC OR Minimum 1-year experience from a registered Saloon/Parlour.
Water Carrier: Training Certificate from Sector Skill Council (SSC).
Dhobi: Training Certificate from SSC OR Minimum 1-year experience from a registered Laundry/Dry Cleaner.
Cobbler: Training Certificate from SSC OR Two years' experience in leather work.
Plumber (Grade IV): Candidates must be Minimum Class VIII passed and possess a minimum one-year Certificate course in Plumbing from a recognized ITI or Vocational Institute.
Nationality & Residency:
1. Candidates must be Citizens of India and Permanent Residents of Assam.
2. Candidates must be registered with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
3. Candidates must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently.
Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026):
20 to 24 Years: Sub-Officer.
18 to 25 Years: AFPF Constable, Constable (WO/WT), Constable (UB), Fireman, Emergency Rescuer, Boatman, and Grade IV (Commando Battalions).
18 to 40 Years: Forester-I, Forest Guard, Game Watcher, Constable (Grade-III), Bandman, Bugler, Jail Warder, Tailor, Dresser, and Grade IV (Police/DGCD).
21 to 40 Years: Nurse, Craft Instructor, Craft Helper, Yoga Instructor/Instructress, Pharmacist.
Age Relaxation:
SC, ST (P), ST (H): 5 Years.
OBC/MOBC: 3 Years.
Ex-Servicemen: 2 Years (Specific posts only).
Trained Home Guards: 3 Years (Only for APRO Constables).
Physical Standards:
Candidates must meet the prescribed physical standards. The height requirements vary slightly by post.
1. For Forester-I, Forest Guard & Game Watcher:
(a) Height (Male):
Gen/OBC/SC: 163 cm | ST(H)/ST(P): 153 cm.
(b) Height (Female):
Gen/OBC/SC: 150 cm | ST(H)/ST(P): 145 cm.
(c) Chest (Male): Normal: 79 cm |
Expansion: +5 cm.
2. For Constables (APRO/AFPF/DGCD), Fireman, Sub-Officer, Jail Warder:
(a) Height (Male):
Gen/OBC/SC: 162.5 cm | ST(H)/ST(P): 160 cm.
(a) Height (Female):
Gen/OBC/SC: 154 cm (144.5 cm for Jail Warder) | ST(H)/ST(P): 152 cm (142 cm for Jail Warder).
(c) Chest (Male):
Normal: 80 cm (Gen/OBC/SC/STP) / 78 cm (STH) | Expansion: +5 cm.
Note: For Jail Warder, chest is 81 cm (deflated).
3. For Grade IV Staff:
(a) Height (Male):
Gen/OBC/SC: 160 cm | ST(H)/ST(P): 158 cm.
(b) Height (Female):
