1st Category: Professor
Number of Posts: 05 (Five)
Departments: Assamese (01-UR), Computer Science & Engineering (01-UR), Economics (01-STP), Political Science (01-UR), and Sociology (01-ST(H)).
Salary: Rs. 1,44,200/- to 2,18,200/-.
Eligibility Criteria (General): An eminent scholar with a Ph.D. in the concerned/allied discipline, at least 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals, and a minimum research score of 120. Requires a minimum of 10 years of teaching or research experience.
Eligibility (Computer Science & Engineering): Ph.D. in the relevant field and First Class at either Bachelor's or Master's level. Requires 10 years of experience (at least 3 years equivalent to Associate Professor) and specific publication counts.
2nd Category: Associate Professor
Number of Posts: 06 (Six)
Departments: Assamese (02: 1-UR, 1-OBC/MOBC), Economics (01-ST(H)), Political Science (01-UR), Chemistry (01-OBC/MOBC), and Physics (01-ST(P)).
Salary: Rs. 1,31,400/- to 2,17,100/-.
Eligibility Criteria: A Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied discipline and a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks. Requires a minimum of eight years of teaching or research experience and at least seven publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals with a total research score of 75.
3rd Category: Assistant Professor
Number of Posts: 03 (Three)
Departments: English (01-OBC/MOBC), Economics (01-UR), and Mathematics (01-OBC/MOBC).
Salary: Rs. 57,700/- to 1,82,400/-.
Eligibility Criteria: A Master’s degree with 55% marks in the concerned/relevant subject. Additionally, candidates must have cleared the NET conducted by UGC/CSIR or similar tests like SLET/SET. Ph.D. holders awarded under specific UGC regulations may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
