The Office of the Principal-cum-Chief Superintendent, Diphu Medical College & Hospital (DMCH), has released an official advertisement for the recruitment of a Laboratory Technician. This position is for a research project funded by the Department of Health Research (DHR), Government of India, focusing on vector bionomics and behavioral practices related to Dengue and Malaria in Karbi Anglong (Assam) and Dhalai (Tripura). The engagement is purely temporary and on a contractual basis.

Monthly Remuneration: Rs. 20,000/- + Applicable HRA
Essential Qualification: B.Sc. (MLT) from a recognized university (Registered). OR Diploma MLT (DMLT) from a recognized university (Registered).
Note: Preference will be given to candidates with B.Sc. MLT over DMLT.
Desirable Qualification: Experience in Government institutions such as ICMR, DHR, IDSP, CSIR, DBT, or any Medical College project. Proficiency in computer applications and data management.
Age Limit: 21 – 30 years.
Selection Procedure:
Interview Type: The selection will involve a Walk-in-Interview along with a Skill Test.
Evaluation: Performance will be assessed on a regular basis, and mere fulfillment of qualifications does not guarantee selection.
Finality: The pay band is subject to the latest DHR guidelines and the receipt of funds from the funding authority.

(a) A signed copy of their Bio-data.
(b) Original documents for verification.
(c) One set of photocopies of all supporting documents.
(d) Two recent self-signed passport-sized colored photographs.
Important Terms & Conditions:
Duration: The appointment is valid for a period of 11 months only and will be co-terminated with the project.
Regularization: These are purely contractual posts; candidates will have no claim for regularization at DMC&H, DHR, or ICMR.
Termination: The contract can be terminated by either side with one month's notice or one month's salary in lieu of notice. This notice period does not apply to terminations based on performance issues.
Expenses: No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview or for joining the assignment.
