The official advertisement says that there are a lot of Level-1 job openings. These Level-1 vacancies are available, in Railway Zones and Production Units.
These vacancies are distributed across different Railway Zones and Production Units. The zone-wise and post-wise vacancy details, including reservation for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and Female candidates, are provided in Annexure-B of the notification.
Pay Scale:
Initial Pay: ₹18,000 per month
The people who get chosen for the job will get some money along with their basic pay. This extra money includes Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Transport Allowance, medical facilities, pension benefits and other allowances that Railway rules say are okay. The selected candidates will get all these things. The Railway rules decide what allowances the selected candidates are entitled to and they will get Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance and Transport Allowance along, with facilities and pension benefits.

Educational Qualification:

10th Pass, or
ITI from NCVT/SCVT, or
National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC)
You need to have your qualification by 02 March 2026. If you are taking exams or waiting to get your results you cannot apply for this. The qualification is something you should already have, by the time you apply which's 02 March 2026.
Medical Standards:
All people who want to work for the railway company must pass the Railway Medical Examination. The medical categories are:
A-2 / A-3 – For safety category posts like Track Maintainer
B-1 / C-1 – For other helper and assistant posts

Important medical points:
1. Normal color vision is mandatory for certain posts.
2. LASIK surgery candidates are not eligible for A-category posts.

Selection Process:
The recruitment process has a lot of steps. It includes the stages:
1. Computer Based Test (CBT)

Step 2: Create Account:
Create an account by registering on the website. This is the part where you sign up for the Account. You will need to make a new Account to proceed. The Account creation process is also known as Registration.Before you fill out the application form candidates need to make an account by giving the following details:
• Candidate’s full name (as per Matriculation certificate)
• Father’s name
• Mother’s name
• Date of Birth
• Active Mobile Number
• Valid Email ID
• Aadhaar Number (optional but strongly recommended)
Step 3: Aadhaar / DigiLocker Verification:
Candidates are strongly advised to complete Aadhaar or DigiLocker authentication.
This helps with the following things:
• It makes the process easier for the candidates
• It helps the candidates to get their things done quickly
• Faster verification during CBT, PET & Document Verification
• Avoiding impersonation issues
• Smooth processing of fee refund (if applicable)
Step 4: Fill Online Application Form:
When you log in you have to fill out all the details, for your application. This includes:
• Educational qualification details
• Category and community details
• Preference of posts and categories
• Examination language preference
• Disability / Ex-serviceman details (if applicable)
When you are filling out the forms make sure all the details are the same, as what is written on the original certificates. If there is a small mistake the documents may not be accepted when they are being verified. This is because the people who check the documents need to see that everything matches the certificates.
Step 5: Upload Documents:
Now You Need To Upload Your Documents. This is an important step so please make sure you do it. Uploading your documents is a part of the process and it is very important that you upload your documents correctly.When you are applying you need to upload your documents in the format and size that we tell you to use. If you upload a document that's the wrong size or not, in the right format the Candidates will not be able to use it and the Candidates application will be rejected. The Candidates need to make sure they get this right.

Step 6: Live Photo Capture:
When you are applying you need to take a photo using your webcam or the camera on your mobile phone. You cannot upload a scanned picture or an old photograph. The photo has to be taken then using your webcam or mobile camera and it has to be a live photo of the candidates. Uploading any kind of picture is not allowed.
Step 7: Payment of Application Fee:
When you upload your documents you have to pay the application fee. You can only pay the application fee online. The application fee needs to be paid after uploading the documents.

If you do not pay the fee for your application it will not be accepted. The rules, for getting a refund of the fee only apply after you have taken the Computer Based Test as it says in the notification.
Step 8: Final Submission:
Before final submission:
Preview the entire application carefully
Verify spelling of name, date of birth, category, and documents
When you submit something you will see a confirmation page. You should save this page. Also print it out. This is so you can look at the confirmation page again on. The confirmation page is important, for your records so make sure you download the confirmation page and print the confirmation page.
Step 9: Modification Window:
If the candidates need to make any changes they can do this during the time when changes are allowed. They will have to pay a fee to make these changes to the allowed fields. The candidates have to pay the fee that is decided for making changes.
Account creation details and selected RRB cannot be changed.
