The Assam Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGCL) has released an official recruitment notification for the engagement of Advisor (Hydro Power Projects) on a contractual basis. The recruitment is for the 24 MW Karbi Langpi Middle-II Hydro Electric Project located in West Karbi Anglong district of Assam.
Experienced and qualified professionals, preferably retired government officers with extensive experience in hydroelectric power projects, are invited to apply. Eligible candidates can submit their applications in the prescribed format from 6 July 2026 to 20 July 2026.

Salary: The selected candidate will receive a consolidated monthly remuneration of ₹1,00,000. If the contract is extended, increments will be provided according to APGCL rules. Other facilities, if applicable, will also be governed by the corporation's policies.
Contract Period: The appointment will initially be for one year and may be extended based on the candidate's performance and project requirements.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institution.
Experience Required:
(i) Minimum 30 years of professional experience in the Government sector, preferably in Power or Infrastructure.
(ii) Experience in handling projects under State Government departments, PSUs or equivalent organizations.
(iii) Experience in planning, design, construction, monitoring and commissioning of projects related to Dam, Barrage and Canal.
(iv) Strong technical knowledge of engineering standards and statutory requirements.
(v) Preference will be given to retired Chief Engineers with experience in hydro-related projects.
Age Limit: Candidates should preferably not be more than 62 years of age as on the last date of application. APGCL may relax the age limit in deserving cases.
Scope of Work:
The Advisor will be responsible for:
(i) Project planning and implementation strategy.
(ii) Reviewing designs, drawings and technical specifications.
(iii) Monitoring construction activities and project progress.
(iv) Technical evaluation of contractors and vendors.
(v) Ensuring quality control and safety compliance.
(vi) Identifying technical issues and recommending corrective measures.
(vii) Coordinating technical and contractual matters.
(viii) Providing other project-related technical advisory services as required by APGCL.
Selection Process:
The selection process includes:

• Interview/Personal Interaction before a Selection Committee constituted by APGCL.
