The Office of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), West Karbi Anglong, Hamren has released an official recruitment notification inviting applications from eligible Indian citizens for the post of Driver on a purely contractual basis. Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can submit their applications in the prescribed Standard Form of the Assam Gazette before the last date.

Salary: Selected candidate will receive a fixed remuneration of Rs. 15,000/- per month.
Educational Qualification:
(i) Passed Class VIII (8th Standard).
(ii) Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary (HS) or above are not eligible to apply.
(iii) Must possess a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) Driving Licence.
Age Limit:
As on the date of advertisement (06 July 2026):
General: 18 to 40 years
OBC/MOBC: 18 to 43 years
SC/ST: 18 to 45 years
Selection Process:
The selection process consists of:
1. Driving Skill Test
2. Interview
Marks Distribution:
Skill Test: 40 Marks
Interview: 30 Marks
Candidates must secure at least 60% marks in the Driving Skill Test to qualify for the interview. Final selection will be based on the aggregate marks obtained in both stages.

Applicants must submit self-attested copies of:
• Educational qualification certificate
• Age proof
• Caste certificate (if applicable)
• Valid LMV Driving Licence
• Three recent passport-size photographs
Applicants should also provide their mobile number (preferably WhatsApp number) and email ID in the application form.

Important Instructions:
(i) Original documents must be produced during the Skill Test and Interview.
(ii) Incomplete applications or applications without photograph/signature will be rejected.
(iii) Government employees must apply through proper channel and produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
(iv) No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the Skill Test or Interview.
(v) Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
(vi) The Selection Committee's decision will be final.
(vii) The list of eligible candidates, Skill Test schedule, Interview schedule and final selection list will be published on the official website of the West Karbi Anglong District Judiciary.
