Assam State Warehousing Corporation (ASWC), a Government of Assam undertaking, has released a recruitment notification for the engagement of Manager (Audit) on a purely contractual basis. Educational Qualification: Candidates applying for the post of Manager (Audit) must be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from ICAI. The notification also specifies that candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience or above. The upper age limit will be as per Government norms.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The selected Manager (Audit) will be responsible for various financial, accounting, taxation and audit-related functions of the Corporation. The major responsibilities include:
1. Finalization of the annual accounts and financial statements of the Corporation and coordination for their timely filing and audit in consultation with the F&A Branch.
2. Coordination and completion of Internal Audit and Statutory Audit of the Corporation within the prescribed timelines.
3. Coordination and compliance regarding audits conducted by the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG), including timely replies to audit paras and inspection reports.
4. Handling taxation matters of the Corporation, including Income Tax, GST, TDS and other statutory/regulatory compliances, along with timely return filing and assessment.
5. Preparation, monitoring and control of the annual budget of the Corporation, including budgetary control.
6. Providing business analysis inputs to support and develop the warehousing business.
7. Ensuring compliance with applicable Accounting Standards and other statutory reporting requirements.
8. Conducting audits of all Warehouse Centres/Sub-Centres of the Corporation whenever required. TA/DA will be provided as per the Corporation's rules.
9. Performing any other responsibilities entrusted by the Managing Director from time to time.
Salary: The selected candidate will receive a monthly remuneration of Rs. 75,000/- (Rupees Seventy-Five Thousand only) for the contractual engagement.
Contract Period:
(i) The selected candidate will initially be engaged for a period of 11 months. The engagement may be extended further subject to satisfactory performance.
(ii) The selected candidate will also be mandatorily required to serve Assam State Warehousing Corporation for a minimum period of 6 months from the date of joining.
