Eligibility Criteria:
Must be a graduate in Arts/Science/Commerce or equivalent stream from a recognized College/Institution affiliated to a recognized University.

Age: 20-24 years as on 01-01-2026.

2nd Post

Name of Post: Constable (AB)

No. of Posts: 3

Salary (Pay Band): Rs. 14000/- to 70000/-
Grade Pay: Rs. 5600/-

Eligibility Criteria:
Must pass HSLC or Equivalent examination from a recognized Board or Council.

Age: 18-21 years as on 01-01-2026.

Age Relaxation (Upper Age Limit)

• SC, ST (P) and ST (H): 5 years.
• OBC/MOBC: 3 years.
• National and International sports person: Additional 3 years.

Male:
   General – 167 cm
   OBC/MOBC/SC – 162 cm

Chest (Male only):
(a) General/OBC/MOBC/SC/ST (P): 85 cm (normal) + 5 cm expansion
(b) ST (H): 80 cm (normal) + 5 cm expansion

Documents Required (Mandatory Uploads):

• Latest passport size photograph.

• Digital photo of Signature.

• Certificate for proof of age (Admit Card/Certificate of H.S.L.C. or equivalent examination).

• Pass Certificate & Mark sheet of Graduation (for Sub Inspector (AB)).

• Pass Certificate & Mark sheet of H.S.L.C. or equivalent examination (for Constable (AB)).

• Employment Exchange Registration Card.

• Aadhaar Card.

• Caste Certificate, if applicable (issued only by Competent Authority authorized by the Govt. of Assam).

• Certificate of Sports Person issued by Competent Authority, if any.
Selection Procedure

The recruitment involves multiple stages:

• Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Medical Examination followed by Physical Standard Test (PST).

• Written Test only for Sub Inspector (AB).

• Psychometric Test for both Sub Inspector (AB) & Constable (AB).

Final merit lists will be based on the marks obtained in the following components:

• Sub Inspector (AB) (Male): Written Test (100 marks) + PET (80 marks) + Psychometric Test (20 marks) = Total 200 marks.

• Sub Inspector (AB) (Female): Written Test (100 marks) + PET (60 marks) + Psychometric Test (20 marks) = Total 180 marks.

• Constable (AB) (Male): PET (80 marks) + Psychometric Test (20 marks) = Total 100 marks.

• Constable (AB) (Female): PET (60 marks) + Psychometric Test (20 marks) = Total 80 marks.
