Dibrugarh University, Assam has released an official notification for recruitment to various teaching posts under a Special Recruitment Drive for Reserved Categories. The recruitment is being conducted against existing vacancies in different academic departments of the University.
Eligible candidates are invited to submit applications in the prescribed format as per UGC Regulations, 2018, along with the required application fee, within the stipulated time.
Last Date for Submission of Application: 23 January 2026
Applications received after the last date will not be considered.

The recruitment drive includes vacancies for Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor positions in the following departments:
1. Assamese – Professor

Master’s Degree in Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Odia, Sanskrit, or English
(Candidates who have not completed M.A. in Assamese must have proficiency in Assamese language)

Pay Scale:
Selected candidates will be placed in the following pay levels as per UGC norms:Professor: ₹1,44,200 – ₹2,18,200
Associate Professor: ₹1,31,400 – ₹2,17,100
Assistant Professor: ₹57,700 – ₹1,82,400

The completed application must reach the Registrar, Dibrugarh University, on or before 23 January 2026.
Important Notes:
1. For appointment to the posts of Associate Professor and Professor, a minimum of: Two publications (Associate Professor) and Three publications (Professor)
indexed in Scopus / Web of Science is mandatory.
2. Mere fulfillment of minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee being called for interview.
3. Shortlisting of candidates will be done by the Screening Committee, and its decision shall be final and binding.
