The LGB Regional Institute of Mental Health (LGBRIMH), Tezpur, has released an official recruitment notification. The institute invites eligible and interested candidates to participate in a recruitment drive for the engagement of contractual staff under the Addiction Treatment Facility (ATF) scheme.

This recruitment is purely on a contractual basis for a fixed tenure. Candidates meeting the requisite qualifications are requested to submit their applications via email and subsequently appear for a Walk-in-Interview.

Vacancy Details & Job Requirements:

The recruitment drive aims to fill two specific positions. Below are the detailed eligibility criteria, remuneration, and age limits for each post.

1. Medical Officer

 Number of Posts: 01 (One).

 Remuneration: Selected candidates will receive a fixed consolidated pay of Rs. 60,000/- per month.

 Age Limit: The maximum age limit for applicants is 62 years.

 Essential Qualification: Candidates must possess an MBBS degree from a recognized Institute.

 Desirable Qualification: Preference will be given to candidates holding an MD or an equivalent qualification in Psychiatry.


2. Staff Nurse

 Number of Posts: 01 (One). 

 Remuneration: Selected candidates will receive a fixed consolidated pay of Rs. 20,000/- per month.

 Age Limit: The maximum age limit for applicants is 43 years.

 Essential Qualification: Candidates must possess an ANM (Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery) qualification. 

 Desirable Qualification: Candidates with GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) or B.Sc. Nursing degrees are preferable.


Terms and Conditions of Engagement:

Candidates are advised to carefully read the following terms and conditions governing the contractual engagement:

 Nature of Contract: The engagement is offered on a full-time contract basis for a fixed term of one (1) year, effective from the date of joining. 

 Contract Dependency: The tenure is contingent upon the continued availability of funds under the ATF scheme. The contract will expire upon the completion of one year or the cessation of funding, whichever occurs earlier. 

 Renewal Policy: Renewal of the contract is discretionary and subject to the provisions of the ATF Scheme. If not renewed, the contract shall expire automatically. 

 Termination Clause: The contract may be terminated by either party by serving a one-month notice period or by remitting a sum equivalent to one month's salary. However, the Competent Authority retains the absolute right to terminate the engagement immediately without prior notice or cause at any stage. 

 No Right to Regularization: The appointee shall not have any claim or right for regular appointment to any post at LGBRIMH. 

 Duties: The appointee must carry out the duties assigned to them. The competent authority holds the discretion to assign additional tasks as needed without any extra allowances.

 Allowances & Benefits: The appointee shall not be entitled to benefits like Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Attendance Treatment, Seniority, Promotion, or any other benefits available to regular Government Servants. Only the fixed consolidated remuneration is admissible.

 Selection Discretion: Possessing the minimum prescribed qualification does not automatically entitle a candidate for selection. The decision of the Selection Committee at LGBRIMH, Tezpur, regarding the selection of candidates will be final, and no representation will be entertained.

 Travel Expenses: No Traveling Allowance (TA) or other allowances will be paid to candidates for attending the interview or for joining the post.

 Performance Review: Work and conduct will be reviewed periodically. If found unsatisfactory or unsuitable, the service shall be terminated immediately without notice.

 Conduct Rules: Candidates are expected to conform to the rules of conduct and discipline applicable to institute employees.

 Legal Standing: The candidate should not have been convicted by any Court of Law.

 Relieving Certificate: Applicants already working elsewhere must produce a Relieving Certificate from their present employer before joining the Institute.

 False Information: If any declaration given by the candidate is found to be false or if material information is willfully suppressed, the candidate will be liable to be removed from service immediately, and appropriate action will be taken.

 Service Rules: Other terms and conditions not specifically mentioned will be governed by relevant rules and orders issued by the Institute from time to time.
