Scale of Pay: Rs. 12,000 – 52,000/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 3,900/- (Pay Band-1).

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Class VIII but must be below HSSLC/HS. Any candidate who has already passed HSSLC/HS (12th grade) is explicitly ineligible for this post.

Mandatory Declaration: Applicants must submit a notarized affidavit declaring their highest educational qualification. If a selected candidate is found to be overqualified at any stage of service, their employment will be automatically terminated, and they will face legal action.


Age Limit (as of 01.01.2026):

Minimum Age: 18 years.

Maximum Age (OBC/MOBC): 43 years.

PwBD Candidates: Age relaxation will be provided as per State Government rules.

Other Requirements: Newly appointed candidates must submit a declaration stating that they and their family members are not beneficiaries of the Orunudoi Scheme or have voluntarily opted out by the date of appointment.


Selection Procedure:

The selection process is divided into two distinct stages:

Stage 1: Written Examination

  Total Marks: 50 marks.

  Duration: 1 hour (60 minutes).

  Syllabus: English, General Awareness, Mathematical Ability, Aptitude, and knowledge of the Assamese language.

  Qualifying Mark: Candidates must secure at least 50% (25 out of 50 marks) to qualify.

  Exam Date: 08/02/2026 (10:30 AM to 11:30 AM).


Stage 2: Interview/Viva-voce

  Total Marks: 15 marks.

  Selection Ratio: Candidates will be called in a 1:3 ratio based on merit from the written examination.
